What sets this book apart, is that it is written by Rosalind Gardner who makes her living (and a very nice one too) doing what she writes about, affiliate marketing. The Affiliate Handbook is written from the experience of doing, and doing well. Rosalind now makes between 30 and 50 thousand a month, and most of it from selling other people's products as an affiliate. Yes, that's dollars folks.

The current version of The Super Affiliate Handbook is 260 pages, not 236 as stated on the sales page. That's a lot of pages! However, those pages will help you discover the right and profitable way to get a career as an affiliate marketer started. Even an affiliate marketer who has been at it for a while can learn tips and techniques to enhance their current income. I discovered some affiliate networks I had never even heard of.

If you are already using affiliate marketing, the first part of The Super Affiliate Handbook will be a good review of the basics, and maybe fill in a few gaps in your approach. After that there are many ideas, strategies and concepts you will want to implement.

If I could only invest in one book about affiliate marketing, this would be the one. For someone just starting out in affiliate marketing, The Super Affiliate Handbook is the place to discover all the basics in one place. No one book could possibly cover all there is to know about affiliate marketing, but this one comes close.

The first part of The Super Affiliate Handbook covers the process of affiliate marketing, finding a market before you select products. It moves on to not only selecting products to represent as an affiliate, but how to select and what to look for in affiliate programs themselves. Then it moves on to explain what type of website you should build, and how to build it.

From there it moves to writing copy and endorsements, when and how to use merchant copy and sales tools.

The next section covers promoting your website and getting traffic. A section features some organizational ideas and how to manage your business. This could be the weakest part of the book, because organization is essential, otherwise you'll get buried. I would like to have seen more about organization in the book, but after all, the main topic is affiliate marketing, and not office skills.

The last part covers tracking your advertising and sales and assessing the results. And there is some material offered about protecting your affiliate links from theft.

Also, throughout the book you will find links, and lists of resources and tools that will save you a lot of time both in usage and in hunting them down. With the time you save, you can get started promoting affiliate products.

The Super Affiliate Handbook is a big book and will take you a while to read, but it will serve you well, and be a reference guide for some time to come. And it is affordably priced.
